Why a Policy?

This privacy notice tells you about the information we collect from you when you use our websites and apps. This generic privacy policy is in relation to any personal data collected by CheckOut CI Limited.  The Company’s official Registered Address of the holding company is Check-Out (CI) Limited, Caslon Court, Pitronnerie Road, St Peter Port, Guernsey, Channel Islands, GY1 2RW. Registration Number 35216 on the company registers in Guernsey.  The Company refers to the trading names of CheckOut CI, Enjoy CI and Digital CI.

How we use your information?

When you use our website

When you use our website to browse our products and services and view the information we make available, a number of cookies are used by us and by third parties to allow the website to function, to collect useful information about visitors and to help to make your user experience better.

When you submit an enquiry via our website

When you submit an enquiry via our website, we may ask you for your name, contact telephone number and email address.

We use this information to respond to your query, including providing you with any requested information about our products and services. We may also email you after your enquiry in order to follow up on your interest and ensure that we have answered your it to your satisfaction. We will do this based on our legitimate interest in providing accurate information prior to a sale.

We do not use the information you provide to make any automated decisions that might affect you.

We keep enquiry emails for one year, after which they are reviewed and may be removed or archived depending on whether the enquiry and the relationship is still relevant and live..

When you purchase a product from our website

When you purchase products from us or pay an outstanding bill online, we ask you for your name, address, contact telephone number, email address and credit card information.

We will use your information to verify your credit card details for your purchase, process your order and to send you your products. We will also send you a confirmation of purchase via email and we may use your telephone number to contact you regarding your purchase.

Your credit card details are passed to a third-party payment processor. We do not retain your credit card information.

We do not use the information you provide to make any automated decisions that might affect you.

When you sign up to receive our newsletter

When you sign up to receive our newsletter, we ask for your name and your email address.

We will ask for your consent to use your name and email address to email you our newsletter which contains information about our products and other information which we feel might be of interest to you.

You can withdraw your consent at any time and we will stop sending you the newsletter.

We keep your personal data for as long as we produce and distribute our newsletter. If you withdraw your consent, we will mark your details so that they are not used and delete them.

We regularly review and, if appropriate, update this privacy policy from time to time, and as our services and use of personal data evolves. We will update the version number and date of this document each time it is changed.

Your own rights

You have a right to be informed when your personal data is being collected, what is collected and how it will be used or shared.

You have a right of access to your personal data: the right of access allows you to be aware of and verify the lawfulness of the processing of your personal data. You can also request a copy of the information which we hold on you. This information will be provided free of charge, unless the request is found to be manifestly unfounded or excessive then a fee of £20 will be charged. The application should be made in writing, by letter or email, and addressed to the Company Secretary.  In compliance with the legislation, we may require two proofs of identification prior to any processing of your correspondence.

You have a right in certain circumstances to have inaccurate personal data rectified, blocked (restrict processing), erased (right to be forgotten), or destroyed.

 You have a right in certain circumstances to object to the processing of your personal data for such reasons as direct marketing, automated decision making, profiling; although we can confirm we make no decisions on you using an automated process.

You have a right in certain circumstances to data portability.

In certain situations, these rights may not apply, for example if you are a subscribing user to a certain facility and wish to continue to do so and where we need the information to provide the service to you.

Changes to this privacy notice

We will review and approve this Data Protection Policy annually and may change this privacy Notice from time to time. If we make any significant changes in the way we treat your personal information we will make this clear on our Web App.
